Verve receives confirmation of Data Controller

Date posted: 10/08/2011, 11:40

Verve Marketing London has received notification of Data
Controller in the Register of Data Protection Act 1998. (See attached
certificate)

Notification from the Information Commissioner’s Office(ICO)
is the process by which a data controller gives the ICO details about their
processing of personal information. The ICO publishes certain details in the
register of data controllers, which is available to the public for inspection.
The principal purpose of having notification and the public register is
transparency and openness. It is a basic principle of data protection that the
public should know (or should be able to find out) who is carrying out the processing
of personal information as well as other details about the processing (such as
for what reason it is being carried out).

Comments Dominic Murdoch, Director of Verve Marketing
London: ‘Whilst this is a standard process that any company holding any personal
data should be registered with the ICO it shows that we at Verve are conforming
with all the rules and regulations of Data Protection and are approved to
handle data – specifically listed as controllers of healthcare advisors or
professionals – in the proper and safe way. This assures all our clients that
their data is safe and should any individual wish to view what data is held
this will be dealt with in the appropriate manner.
